Meet Doug and Cynthia Williams

New board members Doug and Cynthia Williams  have lived in the Leavenworth, Washington area since 1995.  Doug spent his career in healthcare, primarily in administration.  He recently retired from serving as administrator/CEO of Cascade Medical Center in Leavenworth, a small rural public hospital and clinic.  He also spent two years on a special project, developing a conference and retreat center as a non-healthcare related revenue stream for another hospital.  He has planned and overseen several major building projects, served as a consultant with other healthcare organizations, given guest lectures at the college level, facilitated board retreats and strategic planning sessions and published two research papers. He has been active in professional associations, service clubs and community activities.

Doug graduated from the University of Washington, although he has been known to cheer for the Washington State Cougars on occasion.  Cynthia graduated from Seattle Pacific University.  She was an elementary school teacher prior to starting their family.

They have three grown children and five grandchildren.  Their kids live in Idaho and Nevada.

Doug and Cynthia enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, hiking and just about any other outdoor activity.  They especially enjoy being with their children and grandchildren.  Family is critically important in their lives.

Doug and Cynthia became Christians in their youth and have served in many church capacities, including Sunday School teachers, Bible study leaders, and board and session members.  They believe strongly that Jesus is Lord of their lives, that He is the only way to salvation, that the Bible is true, and that the Holy Spirit is with them providing support and guidance moment by moment.
